Excelsior's Chief Medical Office -- Dr. Timothy Patrick was born and raised in what he calls "a little backward town in New Zealand". Even though he stands a little over six feet tall, his baby face makes people tend to underestimate his age. 
He had an unconscious habit of brushing his errant blond bangs back off his forehead.
Lt. Jenna Lee and Lt. Rosita Gonzoles quickly became good friends when they were both assigned to Excelsior.
They shared a passion for command assignments and love of chocolate.  What else did they need?

Excelsior:

The new ship is just about ready to be launched.  And Sulu is finally promoted  to Captain.  His life moves on in other ways as well.

On Excelsior are some old friends:  Lt. Gonzoles is the navigator.  Lt. Commander Rand is head of the communications department.  Commander John Kyle is the first officer.
 
And some new ones:  Lt. Jenna Lee is the helm officer.  Lt Mel Johnson is the chief security officer.  Lt Commander Willie Williams is Excelsior's chief engineer.  Lt. Yazdani, who is called Yaz by all, is second in command in engineering.
